Royal newlyweds attend Queen Elizabeths birthday parade


From allegedly breaking royal protocol by wearing an off-the-shoulder dress, to making her first appearance on the balcony at Buckingham Palace alongside the royal family, Meghan first Trooping the Colour was idyllic.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited to Australia and New Zealand by the governments of the countries and will travel to Fiji and Tonga at the request of the UK Foreign Office, the Kensington Palace announced on Sunday.

So, three weeks after her wedding, which was followed by an outing at a Buckingham Palace garden party for the charities and organizations tied to Prince Charles, who turns 70 this year, Meghan is now plunging-carefully and deliberately-into royal life.

With the streets lined with crowds waving flags, the parade moves from Buckingham Palace and down the Mall to Horse Guard's Parade, alongside members of the royal family on horseback and in carriages.

Meghan, the new Duchess of Sussex, wore a stunning dress by Carolina Herrera and a hat by Philip Treacy.

But while the yearly tradition is something Harry has been a part of since he was a boy, it was new royal Meghan's first time attending such a high-profile royal event.

The former Suits star joined The Queen for the first time on the Buckingham Palace balcony today with the rest of the family. The young schoolchildren will have seen their grandmother ride past in her horse-drawn carriage, sitting alongside Prince William's wife Kate.

The royals watched a fly-past undertaken by the Royal Air Force.

They will also attend a lunch at Chester Town Hall.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stood just in front of Prince Harry and Meghan, with Charlotte and big brother Prince George when the 3-year-old lost her footing and fell back.

The Duke and Duchess' attendance of the 2017 games in Toronto, Canada, where the couple watched the wheelchair tennis, was their first public appearance.

Like her sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge, whatever she wears quickly flies off the shelves as people rush to copy her style.
