Microsoft adds five big gaming studios to its family, including Playground Games

Microsoft kicked off its E3 2018 press conference with a small teaser for the next Halo, called Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite will utilize the new Slipspace Engine designed by 343 to specifically power future Halo experiences. The game is slated for a release on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

We also saw Microsoft Studios announce that they have acquired five new studios to be a part of the Microsoft development team.

"I know waiting can be hard for folks who are excited for more info about the game". The fact that he is prominently featured at the end of the Halo Infinite trailer is hopefully a promise that this game will remedy the failures of the last. Also announced is that Microsoft has acquiredWe Happy Few's developer, Compulsion Games, in addition to several other developers. Now, the argument could be made that this is also due to a lack of stellar, story-driven, single player games, which is where Sony is seeming to excel. The E3 demo showcases some of the exciting potential of this technology - everything you see is running in-engine.

It's nearly guaranteed that we'll see more of Crackdown 3 at this event.
