Josh Jackson's Status at Virginia Tech is in Question

Josh Jackson appears to be having some sort of issue with his playing status at Virginia Tech, but he may not be in danger of missing the entire upcoming season as was previously rumored.

Mike McDaniel is reporting that Josh Jackson is now suspended indefinitely. Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch was told by Jackson's father that his son's status will be determined by the end of this week.

However, both could be just good enough to get the job done and put in a solid year of work in place of Jackson. He isn't now suspended and is still with the team as of Friday afternoon, but anything beyond that is speculation.

One of the hallmarks of Virginia Tech, regardless of head coach, has been consistency.

The Hokies went 9-3 in 2017, but if Jackson is suspended in 2018, expect maybe a one or two-game drop-off.
