EA Play 2018: Anthem release date and gameplay details announced

Origin Access Premier members can be the first to play the full game with unlimited access on PC starting February 15, and EA Access and Origin Access Basic members can enjoy up to 10 hours of play time as part of the Play First Trial. The event will commence with a press conference at 11:00 PM PT / 2:00 PM ET on Saturday, June 9th, where the publisher will show off all of the games it has in store for the coming months.

One of EA's most anticipated games got its fair share of time in the spotlight today during its EA Play conference, with the publisher dedicating nearly 20 minutes to a deep-dive into the mechanics and gameplay of Anthem. This includes titles that we know about like Battlefield V and Anthem but also had plenty of new titles to show us.

The player character will be a freelancer, individuals uniquely suited to piloting the exosuits so prominently featured in the game.

Battlefield 5 When EA and DICE revealed the next Battlefield game to the world, the community reacted strongly: The game's return to World War II looked exciting, but some fans took issue with what they saw as historical inaccuracies. The game will be released on August 10 but the truly big news is that it's coming to PC. There is no PvP mode and you can play the entire game by yourself, which should please those who get annoyed by Destiny's locked off content. Mark Darrah also seemed to hint that a public beta will occur.

(Update) Unravel Two announced at E3, now with co-op!
It begins on a down note, with Yarny losing everything, but Coldwood Interactive promised it's a joyful, playful game overall. Unravel 2 is coming to PC and console and it looks like it might feature co-op this time around.

Star Wars Considering Star Wars Battlefront 2 launched just a year ago, we probably won't be getting a full successor any time soon, but EA is the exclusive license holder to Star Wars - if they're going to announce any new expansions for the game, now is the time. While the specifics of the gameplay have yet to be ironed out, it looks to be a sea-based game telling an emotional story about how loneliness can turn people into monsters. Oh, but it WILL feature a battle royale mode, creatively titled Royale. Here, Mass Effect style player choice is back, with players able to go back to their base and embark on offline reward gathering and interact with NPCs and influence the story. Out on missions, however, players will be able to bring three friends along for the ride.

There are four javelin types: Ranger, Colossus, Interceptor, and Storm.

This is what the developers describe as "our world, my story". It sounds like more Javelins will be added post launch.
