Celebrity Chef Anthony Bourdain Dead at 61

In a 2016 episode of CNN's Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Bourdain saw a therapist in Argentina, where he discussed the feeling of loneliness he gets on the road.

British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "Stunned and saddened by the loss of Anthony Bourdain". "He explored the human condition and helped audiences think differently about food, travel and themselves", CNN wrote of his work.

"He's irreverent, honest, curious, never condescending, never obsequious", the judges said.

"Maybe even say, 'Look I've had hard times, too".

He opened up about their relationship while speaking to People magazine in September.

However, he also said he was "in much better shape than I've probably ever been", adding: "I travel 250 days a year".

Tributes have already begun to pour in for the star from across the culinary world.

But he first shot to widespread fame in 2000, after releasing a best-selling book called Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, which offered a behind-the-scenes look at the world of haute cuisine. He spent years working in restaurant kitchens, and worked as the executive chef at Les Halles, a French brasserie.

Designer Kate Spade, who built a fashion empire on her signature handbags, was found dead in her NY apartment of suicide on Tuesday.

"I have a message for those considering suicide as a solution to a temporary problem".

Suicide is a growing problem in the United States, where rates have increased by 25% nationwide over almost two decades ending in 2016.

The deaths of two influential figures in their respective fields have also provoked conversations about how successful people are not immune depression, mental health issues or suicide.
