Andy Cohen Celebrates LGBTQ Rights at Tel Aviv Pride Parade

On Friday, June 8, in tel Aviv will host the gay pride parade.

"Celebrating pride in Tel Aviv is a lovely celebration of gay rights and visibility in a region where numerous neighbors can not live as their true selves or be who they were born to be", Andy said, "which makes it all the more special for this massive coming together in support of equality to be taking place in Tel Aviv".

Hundreds of thousands of people from Israel and around the world are expected to descend on Tel Aviv starting June 3 for events, parties and performances that celebrate the city's vibrant LGBTQ community.

The good times in Tel Aviv contrasted sharply with events just 70 kilometres (45 miles) to the south, where Israeli fire killed at least four Palestinians during a mass protest along the Israel-Gaza border.

Many of Tel Aviv's largest streets will be blocked to traffic starting at 8:30 a.m., including along Allenby, King George, Hashmonaim, and Ben Yehuda streets. Glass bottles, bicycles, animals, and drones will similarly be banned.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of winning The global contest "Eurovision", Microsoft meant to make a gift to all the participants of the gay parade, sending his truck, dedicated to the singer.

The parade was attended by many stars, including victor of "Eurovision-2018" Netta Barzilai.

He took to Twitter during the parade, to show off the colourful float, saying: "Thanks to everyone who marched with us or supported us today at Tel Aviv Pride - we had quite a crowd".

Other Israeli cities are also planning pride parades over the summer, including Jerusalem, where the heavily secured event has grown in recent years.
