Actor Jackson Odell dies at 20

Former teen actor and successful songwriter Jackson Odell has died, according to media reports.

In addition to his role as Ari in Seasons 1 and 2 of "The Goldbergs", Odell had credits on "The Fosters", "Modern Family", and "iCarly".

Odell was also a singer-songwriter, penning original songs for the soundtrack to the big-screen drama Forever My Girl, including "Wings of an Angel", sung by American Idol finalist Lauren Alaina. He was in a sober living home, and police say that so far there are no signs of foul play. He had been involved in show business from the age of 12.

There may be more material buried deeper. "We were just blown away", he said. "The big takeaway is that we can find evidence". The results don't explain shorter-lived spikes in methane levels - as high as 45 parts per billion - that have been detected.

Law enforcement officials confirmed Odell's passing to reporters at TMZ.

"The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell", the family said in a statement emailed to TheWrap. He had so much more to share.

No cause of death has yet been revealed, and an autopsy is pending. "Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew and loved him does as well".
