The Halloween 2018 trailer is finally here!

Curtis' character was unceremoniously killed off in Halloween: Resurrection in 2002, but in true Halloween franchise fashion, it would appear that the new Halloween film will be ignoring the continuity of numerous sequels in favor of telling its own story.

"He's the essence of evil, so we don't want to get too much into the specifics of what makes him tick", director David Gordon Green shared with USA Today about Myers. "He and I were hoping that would happen, because he even said, 'This is the passing of the torch'".

This Halloween is the eleventh of the franchise, the start of a new reboot following Rob Zombie remakes Halloween and Halloween II from 2007 and 2009 respectively.

Thiem ends fearless Cecchinato's run to reach French Open final
Cecchinato made some headway by repeatedly using drop shots, but Thiem eventually started tracking them down well. Of that set, Thiem said: "If I had lost it, it would have been a very close match".

Forty years ago, writer/director/composer John Carpenter helped reshape the horror genre with the first Halloween, a low-budget feature that kicked off the teenager slasher craze of the late 1970s and all of the 1980s.

There's a couple of harks back to the original movie including a good bit with a sheet, and another with a cupboard, as well as a variation on that classic Carpenter score. Jeff Fradley, Green, and Danny McBride penned the script. When Laurie learns that Michael has broken out of prison and plans to terrorize to their small IL town of Haddonfield - where Laurie, her daughter Karen (Judy Greer), and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) reside - she readies herself for a brutal and bloody showdown that will end their deadly cat-and-mouse game for good. At the same time, producer Jason Blum says the new Halloween will "respect the DNA of the franchise", while also bringing "something totally new to it and we're really very very excited for people to see it".

You can see this new incarnation of evil when the new Halloween lands in theaters on October 19th. But the new Halloween seems to be ignoring these characters.
