Juventus secure permanent Douglas Costa deal

Douglas Costa spent the last season on at the Old Lady from Bayern Munich, but the club have now made the move permanent.

Juventus have done well to conclude the deal before Costa flies to Russian Federation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, perhaps signifying the player was eager to remain at the club.

"Juventus have exercised the option right for the permanent purchase of the player Douglas Costa from Bayern Munchen for a fee of €40m to be paid in two financial years", Juventus revealed on Thursday in a statement.

Costa joined in 2017 from Bayern Munich on a one-year loan deal and enjoyed a Serie A-winning first season.

The wing wizard scored six times and recorded 14 assists during his loan spell in Italy and became a prominent figure across Juve's attack, featuring on both flanks and also in a central role when required.

And, having completed the most dribbles in Serie A (106), Costa's performance levels were impressive enough to persuade Juve to snap him up from Bayern.
