Eagle-eyed doctor spots woman's cancer while watching her on TV show

He turned to Facebook hoping to track her down.

Dr. Erich Voight was watching "Beach House Bargain Hunters" when he noticed a mass on Nicole McGuinness' throat.

"Dr. Voigt saw this, and brought it to my attention, and now I'll be treated for it", she told ABC News.

Even as he didn't know the woman's last name, the doctor refused to ignore the symptom and made a decision to track her down. She needs a sonogram and fine needle biopsy. "I wonder if she knows and hope it's benign".

In 2013, a viewer spotted a similar lump on HGTV's "Flip or Flop" co-host Tarek El Moussa.

The news eventually got back to McGuinness, who lives in Havelock.

Although initially a Greek court ruled they could be extradited back to Turkey, the supreme court later overturned the decision. In any case, this move by Turkey will spark legal confusion over the future of the Turkey-EU agreement.

Voigt let her know she needed a sonogram and a biopsy.

Nicole McGuinness discusses how she found out she had Thyroid cancer in an interview with ABC News.

She previously battled brain cancer, but she says Dr. Voigt told her this round of treatment will not be as tough.

Voigt lauded the "awesome power of Facebook and good people!" in a second post, after he connected with McGuinness and found out that she was getting treatment for Thyroid cancer.

Luckily, the post did end up with McGuinness, 32, who went to a see a specialist and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. "But, I'm just so grateful for Dr. Voigt for catching that, for being vigilant and for reaching out to me".
