American Idol Results 2018, Season 16 Winner Revealed at Live Finale Tonight

The sixteenth (and sped-up) season of American Idol has already come to its close, and we have a new Idol: Maddie Poppe.

Ultimately, time will tell as to whether or not Maddie was the best victor - she may be the best now, but we like to judge American Idol winners by how the represent the brand in the years following their time on the show. "Girl, you've changed for the better", Perry said. Luke said that she was the most comfortable during the performances so far.

Barrett could quite possibly become the next Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert of her generation with her performance of her original anthem, "Rivers Deep". Overall, Barrett gave the other two competitors a run for their money. Her risk paid off. In fact, following her final performance of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide", Perry immediately took to her phone, saying simply, "I'm voting for you".

Katy Perry remarked to Billboard, that she is favoring Maddie Poppe to take the top spot.

Interview Magazine, founded by Andy Warhol, folds after almost 50 years
Earlier this month, the magazine was sued for $600,000 by a former editorial director who claims he wasn't paid by the magazine. In February, Brandt Publications was kicked out of their SoHo offices for unpaid rent, as first reported by Page Six .

With only one more night of the show left, the final three contestants - Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Gabby Barrett, and Maddie Poppe - started Sunday night by debuting their own original songs. Talk about a dream come true!

Four American Idol contestants returned to perform a medley of original songs from earlier in the season including Harper Grace performing "Yard Sale", Jonny Brenns performing "Blue Jeans", Michelle Sussett performing "I'm a Dreamer", and Catie Turner performing "21st Century Machine". She looked great in her cape dress with a wind machine blowing on her. "I mean, really, it was never about being famous to me, I just really want to make a career out of this and do this for the rest of my life, and, man, it's just insane looking back at myself six months ago", Maddie told reporters, including HollywoodLife. "I've been signing as many pre-orders as I can".

"What I told them is, 'This is all gonna be over in a week. She really believed in me, you know, when a lot of people were going for the more mainstream artist, and she really saw something in me that I couldn't believe". I'm waiting to see why they make the Top 3 in this last round.
