Frontier Airlines adding nine new destinations from San Antonio

Frontier Airlines is adding limited, nonstop service between Cleveland and San Antonio, Texas, starting in August.

Representatives from the low-priced airline joined city officials on the steps of City Hall Thursday morning to make the announcement.

United Airlines is increasing nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and 15 destinations, including Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. It also means Frontier will become the largest carrier in San Antonio, in regards to destinations served.

Air Canada on Thursday will launch daily nonstop flights to Vancouver, British Columbia.

But it was amusing to watch the rap star and host of the TBS game show "The Joker's Wild" get a little lost in a cloud of it. This was the first time Freeform was incorporated into ABC's upfront presentation. "We have a new slogan this year ABC".

Beginning in August, low-priced carrier Frontier Airlines will offer nonstop flights to Albuquerque, New Mexico; Charlotte; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Jacksonville, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Omaha, Nebraska. "It has been the continued support from the airport, local leaders and most importantly the community that allows us to continue to expand our service and make flying affordable", said Richard Oliver, spokesperson for Frontier Airlines.

Frontier is offering introductory fares on the route of $39 each way.

United plans to increase flights to the airport, under the call letters SRQ, to two flights daily.

The Omaha flights will begin on August 12 and be offered three times per week - on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
