Smart's stellar Game 2 plays draws Cavs praise

With his Cleveland Cavaliers visibly frustrated late in Tuesday night's Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics, the always enigmatic J.R. Smith might have committed the dirtiest foul of the playoffs.

Officials took time to review the play, and ultimately determined that Smith had committed a flagrant 1 foul, not a flagrant 2 that would have resulted in an ejection.

Smith's push was delivered in frustration as the Cavaliers watched a 55-48 halftime advantage disappear, with the incident coming as the Celtics were holding a 12-point lead at 99-89.

Smith had an absolutely brutal game - zero points on 0-for-7 shooting in 27 minutes in what ended up being a loss to knock the Cavs down 0-2 in the series.

Judges skeptical they can't review Trump policy
However, in February, the Supreme Court rejected the administration's bid to get the justices to intervene in the controversy. Texas and six other states in recent weeks sued to end the original program, and the case is before the same federal judge.

"We're out there to play basketball", Smart said. Today was a tremendous effort on one of the biggest stages we've all played on. "I just looked at it, Al is a defenseless person. Everybody had the right intentions, just communicating that a couple seconds late put us in tough positions and they capitalized on it". "You just can't allow that to keep happening".

The post J.R. Smith embraces the NSFW chant from Celtics crowd appeared first on Cavs Nation. Shocking since he had a front-row seat for his Smith's, shall we say, "goonish" antics. Smith pushed Smart out of the way, and Smart looked like he was ready to tear Smith's face off until Tristian Thompson stepped in and corralled the Celtics guard. "We know that. It's like a bully; you keep letting a bully pick on you, he's going to keep picking on you until you stand up". "One of my guys was down and I took offense to it".

Game 3 is Saturday night in Cleveland.
