Penn State-Pitt set for prime-time kickoff at Heinz Field

ABC announced Wednesday that it will televise the Nittany Lions' Sept. 8 game against the Panthers at Heinz Field to a national audience at 8 p.m. The Keystone Classic will air on ABC according to the network. The four-game series ends in 2019 at Beaver Stadium, and the programs have no plans to renew over the next decade.

Penn State holds a 51-43-4 advantage in the all-time series, although the in-state rivals have split the first two games of the series. Last season, the Nittany Lions used a pair of Mike Gesicki touchdown catches and two scores by Saquon Barkley to post a 33-14 win over Pittsburgh.

This will be a new-look Penn State team as the Nittany Lions return 13 starters but replace plenty of old faces with fresh ones across teh roster.
