Metro Exodus Delayed Until Q1 2019; New Gameplay Coming at E3

"Deep Silver and 4A Games would like to share some important information with you regarding the release date of Metro Exodus". We have been constantly reviewing the games progress to ensure that we deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve, as well as keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products.

The decision was apparently taken because "we want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best", which reassures us as to 4A Games' commitment to quality.

Metro Exodus, the third game in the survival/horror/stealth/shooter series and the first to feature a more expansive open world, has been delayed.

Like the previous Metro games, Exodus stars Artyom, who is fleeing the ruins of the Moscow Metro with a band of survivors.

Originally planned for fall release window, THQ Nordic announced today during its latest financial results briefing that Metro Exodus will now be released sometime in Q1 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

First announced at E3 2017, Metro Exodus was scheduled to arrive in 2018, but it's now been revealed that it won't be available until 2019. But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russian Federation in search of a new life in the East.
