Iran nuclear accord not ideal, but best to stick with it: Merkel

The best way to address worldwide concern about Iran's role in the region and its ballistic missile programme is within the framework of the nuclear deal, even after the United States pulled out, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said.

The conflict in Syria has taken an enormous scale and can not be settled without the participation of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Europe and other regional powers, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday.

She said UK, France, Germany and the European Union as a whole - believe that it was wrong to withdraw from the agreement under such circumstances.

No, the Next STAR WARS Spin-Off Won't Focus on LANDO CALRISSIAN
What Kennedy actually said was Lucasfilm would love to eventually make a Lando spin-off one day, but this is now not a priority. Even Premiere and ComicBook both note the long-gestating chatter around an Obi-Wan film.

Merkel described the deal as "everything other than ideal", but argued that worldwide nuclear authorities said Iran was sticking to its commitments. "However, transatlantic relations have to overcome the difference in approaches in these very days, first of all, against the backdrop of the United States withdrawal from the treaty with Iran", she added.

She said situation will not improve after Washington's withdrawal from the deal.

Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump abandoned the pact he branded "the worst deal ever" and reimposed U.S. sanctions on Iran.
