Willow Smith self-harmed after hit single

"After all of that kind of settled down, I was listening to a lot of dark music and it was just so insane and I was just plunged into this black hole and I was, like, cutting myself and doing insane things".

Jada and Adrienne were immediately taken aback and shared that they had no idea the young "Everything Stays" singer had ever gone through that. Then for the second time during their exchange, Pinkett Smith said she was unable to listen to the rapper's music and feel good about herself at the same time.

When Willow Smith released her debut single, "Whip My Hair", in 2010, her life, from the outside, looked like it couldn't become better.

"I told him that before I met him today, I thought he was a woman hater because of the music that he writes", said Pinkett Smith in the clip.

'I was experiencing so much emotional pain, ' Smith told her confused mother and grandmother, while reassuring them that she no longer self-harms. "It was just so insane and I was plunged into this black hole, and I was cutting myself", Willow said, which shocked Jada.

"I wanna be her when I grow up", Jada quipped. "But you have to pull yourself out of it", she continued.

"I would have to say, honestly feel like I lost my sanity at one point".

"On my wrist. I mean, you can't even see it but there's still a little something there", Willow explained. "Cutting yourself where?" her mom responded in shock, and Willow showed her scars on her forearms and wrists. I never talk about it because it was such a short weird point in my life.

"That's good to freaking know!" the mom of three exclaimed after Willow finished her story. "I never saw any signs of it".

Not only did Jada Pinkett Smith left a mark on Eazy-E, she left a big impression on her husband Will Smith. The debut episode featured the Girls Tripactress sitting down with Sheree Fletcher to have an honest and open conversation about the hard times they faced trying to become a blended family.

Jada - who also has 19-year-old son Jaden with Will - said: "What?"

Jada's clearly proud of her mum, posting this snap of her back in 2014.
