The biggest challenge for the Cavaliers in starting Thompson is he can't space the floor as a shooter, allowing Horford - or Aron Baynes, who would get more playing time - to stay close to the rim and protect it.

In four years as his teammate with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tristan Thompson has seen his fair share of LeBron James bounceback games.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens has lavished praise on the 6-foot-9 Canadian's defensive presence and versatility in the past.

"We had a bad game".

The Celtics forward shot 8-of-10 from the floor and scored 20 points with four rebounds and six assists in his team's 108-83 obliteration of the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals before a boisterous sellout crowd of 18,624. "When I do check into the game, whether it's him or [Aron] Baynes, I just try to run the floor, set pick-and-rolls, just try to work them on both ends so that hopefully by the second half his legs might be a little exhausted where he might not make that three that he makes in the first half". They've played extremely well throughout these playoffs, a number of guys have stepped up for them and played extremely efficient basketball. I thought they did a good of switching.

"Morris is going to compete", Lue said. "They took advantage of mismatches. They're basically doing the same thing we're doing, they just executed better than we did".

"We're going to take those same looks going into Game 2 if the opportunity presents itself", James said. He only had three games with fewer than 15 points, and one of them was the regular-season finale when he reached his 10 in the first quarter against the Knicks and took the rest of the night off.

The project has also been opposed by the United States, which seeks to export its own liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe. The new pipeline will double the capacity of the first stretch and will basically follow its route.

"It's definitely something we have to weigh - we weighed it before the series started", Lue said. "We weren't going to adjust until someone beat us". We had a really tough loss; he came out and played really well and started that game off extremely well.

"Looking at the statistics, over the last three years of at least 30 possessions, out of all the guys who've guarded Al Horford, Tristan is No. 1 in the league defending Al Horford", Lue said. "So, that's a good thing".

Thompson said he brings toughness and energy off the bench, but he's ready if called upon to set the tone as a starter.

Thompson's re-emergence in the starting five would be just another peak in his drastically up-and-down playoffs.

Horford was the best player on the floor in the first quarter, an incredible accomplishment considering Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was on the parquet at the same time. But for me, there's never no level of concern, no matter how bad I played tonight with seven turnovers, how inefficient I was shooting the ball.

Additionally, Al Horford dominated against Love, who guarded the Celtics center on 62 percent of the offensive possessions he played, according to National Basketball Association player tracking data.
