Ontario boy subject of Amber Alert found safe

Garr said the child went missing in the company of his mother, who police are still trying to locate.

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for 47-year-old Lynda McCallum, who was seen with the young boy at the centre of the amber alert.

UPDATE AT 1 P.M: OPP have confirmed McCallum has been found and the Amber Alert is cancelled.

Gabriel McCallum is described as white, three feet six inches, 60 pounds, with black hair.

At the airport to receive him and his delegation was the State PDP Chairman, Edim Inok Edim, among other notable chieftains of the party in the state.

The eight-year-old was last seen Monday morning in a silver vehicle "with a loud exhaust" on Copenhagen Road in the township, which is north of Thunder Bay.

Anyone with any information on the possible whereabouts of McCallum is asked to contact police. She is described as white, 5-feet 2-inches tall, 130 pounds, blonde/brown hair, wearing black trousers and a blue plaid shirt.

She said it was not known whether the woman is on foot or still driving the vehicle listed in the original alert.
