Arsene Wenger claims he nearly signed Cristiano Ronaldo

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Frenchman Arsene Wenger stated clearly that his successor at Arsenal must bring in fresh legs to the Emirates stadium for the Gunners to be able to compete for the Premier League title.

Wenger is one of the greatest managers in Premier League history, and the Frenchman would be great for Everton.

If reports from Sky Sports is anything to go by, Mikel Arteta is now the favourite to become the next Arsenal manager.

Josh Kroenke, son of majority Arsenal shareholder Stan, has been a growing influence at the club this season.

Recent ventures into the transfer mercato has bolstered Arsenal's midfield and attacking setup, but they are still a far cry away from a complete squad.

Stammers and Mokbel added coach Boro Primorac, a long-term Wenger deputy, is on his way out, but assistant manager Steve Bould and goalkeeping coach Jens Lehmann, part of the Gunners' Invincibles side in 2003-04, will be offered positions in the new setup.

When Roberts asked about Payne's return to music after his group's hiatus, he hinted that his solo album doesn't mean the end of 1D.

While Emery is ready for a new opportunity, the 46-year-old said he was yet to receive an offer from Arsenal.

"It would be a high-risk strategy I think, purely down to inexperience".

"I don't know what will stay or remain through the victories or defeats".

Wenger will now come back to clear his desk on Thursday. Arsenal fans can only reminisce the golden years, while hoping that a fresh approach at the helm changes things for the better.

Iwobi was however not bothered by league finish as he took to his official Twitter account stating his disappointment at the departure of the manager who gave him an opportunity in the first team. They must accomplish a triumphant quest for glory.
