Iran preps 'industrial-scale' nuke production after U.S. leaves nuclear deal

Iranian targets have repeatedly been hit inside Syria in recent weeks in attacks thought to have been conducted by Israel.

"Israeli reckless action in this instance only helped [ISIS] and other terrorist groups in Syria".

The announcement also seemed to be another sign of tensions between Iran and Russian Federation, who are fighting on the same side on behalf of the Syrian regime.

"Yesterday I conveyed a clear message to the Assad regime: Our activity is directed against Iranian targets in Syria".

"Contrary to their made-up claim", Khoshroo said, the drone "was neither armed nor had intention for engagement or mission for possible attack anywhere".

Iran and Israel engaged in a war or words two days after an exchange of missile fire in Syria, with a prominent Iranian cleric threatening to "raze" two Israeli cities if it "acts foolishly" and attacks Iranian forces in Syria again.

The bombardment led to calls for calm from Russia, France, Germany and Britain as well as the European Union, while the U.S. put the blame squarely on Iran and stressed Israel's right to "self-defence".

The two leaders met in Aachen, Germany, at a ceremony where Mr Macron was awarded a prize for his contributions to European unity. But unlike Russian Federation and Iran, Israel has done little to sway the outcome of Syria's civil war.

Syrian state-run media had said that Israel struck a military outpost near the capital Damascus late Tuesday, adding that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed two of the incoming missiles. It was only a matter of time before Iran pushed back, said Wimmen. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the strikes had removed any moral obligation Russian Federation had to withhold the missiles and Russia's Kommersant daily cited unnamed military sources as saying deliveries might begin imminently.

Qasemi criticized what he called "the silence of countries and global institutions in the face of such acts and aggressive behavior by the Zionist regime".

The Quds Force has been busy in Iran, building missile and rocket bases, drone bases, importing Shi'ite militia forces and trafficking heavy weapons into the region.

Iran's strategic objective is to dominate an arc of countries from Iran, through Iraq, Lebanon and Syria and eventually Jordan as a powerful Shia front that would form the basis not only for Iran's expansion but would put huge military pressure on Israel.

"Since the signing of the JCPOA (nuclear deal), we have gone from an atmosphere like a gold rush, to one of utter depression", said a Western trade diplomat on condition of anonymity.

If the Jewish state's military actually meant that the sneaky Persians are secretly controlling people's lives, it would only be right to ask how they managed to come up with such an airtight world view. From Russia's perspective, Iran is an uncontrollable and increasingly irrational ally, especially the IRGC and the al-Quds force operating on Syrian territory.

Meanwhile, European diplomats in Tehran fumed that Trump's decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal could undermine years of patient work to restore commercial and diplomatic ties with the Islamic Republic.
