The police said, seven people including four children were found dead in Western Australia on Friday.

The children died with their mother and grandparents.

"We are treating this as a matter in which six persons are subject of a homicide crime scene", Commissioner Dawson continued.

He said he would not release the triple zero call made about 5.15am on Friday. The other five, a woman and the children, were found in a converted shed structure, Dawson said. The local officer-in-charge and his senior constable went to the property and found seven bodies with gunshot wounds.

"The reason police went to the property was from a telephone call which we've recorded", said Dawson, who would not comment on the identity of the caller.

Police discovered the bodies of Peter Miles, 61, his wife Cynda Miles, 58, their daughter, Katrina Miles, 35, and her four children: Taya, a 13-year-old girl and three boys Rylan, 12, Ayre, 10, and Kayden Cockman, 8, after they were called to the scene early on Friday morning.
