Texas girl named in Amber Alert held against her will

The 12-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert was found Thursday night in southwest Houston, according to police.

Officials say they responded at about 9 p.m. Thursday to a report of an injured person at 6600 Harbor Town Drive. According to family members, 12-year-old Jennifer Castillo was last seen on Tuesday at around 7 p.m. when she left the family apartment to make a phone call. Police also said that there was a "credible threat" made, which prompted them to issue an AMBER Alert. She has long, curly brown hair and brown eyes, and is believed to be in danger.

Jennifer is described as 5 feet tall, weighing around 100 pounds.

Police pleaded with Jennifer that if she was watching the press conference, to contact them or her case worker at Las Americas Middle School.

Knicks announce hiring of David Fizdale as new coach
Fizdale is the 29th head coach in franchise history and the Knicks' ninth full-time head coach since the 2002-03 season. They all have guys that are super-long, super-athletic, super-skilled, super-tough-minded, incredible workers.

Police said Jennifer's family was contacted after she went missing and that is when the threat against her was communicated, but they would not elaborate on the nature of the threats.

Jennifer's phone has been turned off, police said.

Police said they have no suspects and no vehicle description. The girl's mother lives in Honduras, but the mother has not heard from her. Investigators are looking into the possibility that she's headed there, but they believe based on her phone records that she is still in the Houston area.

Anyone with information on Jennifer's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or local authorities.
