Celtics knock 76ers out in thriller

The Celtics gutted out another dramatic victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, 114-112, in Game 5 on Wednesday, and will now face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for a trip to the NBA Finals.

Brown was desperate to spark the Sixers and benched slumping forward Robert Covington (0-for-14 combined in Games 1 and 3) for McConnell.

The entire fourth quarter was a nailbiter. The next opponent is either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers.Today, we launch a photo series of the Cavs probable starters for the Eastern Conference Finals, starting with guard George Hill.Hill has averaged 26.1 minutes of playing time in this postseason and has a field goal percentage of 53.1.

Smart was fouled on the ensuing inbound, and missed his first freebie.

Marcus Smart made one of two free throws with 2.4 seconds left, and Philadelphia turned it over on the inbounds play to seal it.

It looked to be derailed for sure when Marcus Smart suffered a torn ligament in his thumb in March, followed by Kyrie Irving being sidelined for the season a month later following a pair of knee surgeries. They did a great job establishing that early, posting a number of guys up, and that led to points in the paint, fouls etc.

"In all honestly people from the outside probably expected not much out of us", said Horford, turning his attention to the young trio of Brown, Jayson Tatum and Terry Rozier, and how they have filled a large, yawning void.

Boston's Jaylen Brown and coach Brad Stevens were whistled for technicals late in the third and the Sixers capitalized with two free throws and an Embiid dunk that had rapper Meek Mill standing.

"I have no comment on the technicals", he said.

India Says Closely Monitoring Situation Post US Pullout Of Iran Deal
The Obama-era deal was dumped earlier this week by the USA , and surprised many of its allies who are part of the deal. As is known, may 8 US President Donald trump announced the withdrawal from the agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

Embiid said Simmons came to him and showed him his hands while saying, "there's going to be a lot of (championship) rings in the future".

The game started as a back-and-forth affair with 17 lead changes and seven ties in the first half.

But the Sixers battled back, closing the gap to just one point at the end of the frame. Boston was 6-for-20 in the third, with six turnovers, watching a nine-point lead wither to one.

After striking up a long-distance friendship with Drew Bledsoe during the Milwaukee series, Rozier finally met the former Patriots quarterback for real. As the 76ers' scoreless run extended past three minutes, Rozier drove for a 100-94 lead with 5:27 on the clock. Saric beat Smart on a nice up-and-over to push Philadelphia's lead to 109-105.

Additionally, rookie Ben Simmons recorded 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Game 5 is Wednesday night in Boston.

They were supposed to be the dependable and consistent forces in times like this.

"If I saw a lane, I took it".

It looked a touch suspicious to anyone who buys into National Basketball Association conspiracy theories on how to extend a series potentially headed for a sweep.
