Tiger will play at The Open in July

Tiger Woods has confirmed his participation in this year's Open Championship at Carnoustie, marking his first tilt at the Claret Jug since missing the cut in 2015.

He could manage onlyi a 32nd-place finish at the Masters, however, and 10 years have now passed since the former world No. 1 claimed the most recent of his 14 major titles, at the U.S. Open.

Tiger Woods will be heading overseas for the second major of the year in July.

The 42-year-old - a 14-time Major victor - returned to competitive golf this season after missing most of the previous two years through injury and finished tied for 32nd place at April's Masters.

There are no tricks, there's nothing hidden.

Woods has won The Open Championship three times in his career, but finished seventh and 12th the last two times that the tournament was held at Carnoustie. It's just come and get me.
