Bears LB Roquan Smith says some stolen items were recovered

Chicago Bears rookie linebacker got back most of the items stolen from his vehicle over the weekend, and police expected to charge the suspect soon.

The Bears rookie on Wednesday took to Twitter to thank authorities for their efforts in retrieving everything that was taken from his vehicle with the exception of his team-issued iPad, which had been "immediately wiped" remotely of all content.

The Bears' playbook was never in jeopardy - the team wiped the iPad after Smith's items were reported stolen - but Smith also had several personal items stolen, including some valuable Georgia jerseys, his Georgia helmet, several pairs of Bose headphones, a pair of watches, some Nikes and Bluetooth speakers.

We're glad Smith wasn't harmed, and hopefully, he's able to have his items replaced fairly quickly.

Police are obtaining a warrant for the suspect they believe robbed several items belonging to former UGA and current National Football League star Roquan Smith.

Smith shared the news with his Twitter followers on Wednesday. The teen reportedly attends the University of Georgia.

"There is no telling how much this stuff is worth", Hutchins said.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Smith's iPad was not among the recovered items.

Athens police were notified of the recovery and arrived around 11 p.m. Tuesday night to take the items. The Summerville police estimated some of the jerseys were worth about $40,000. "Some of it, like his national championship helmet, is probably priceless". The rest of Smith's stolen property has not been found.
