Ohio State QB Joe Burrow Announces Plans To Transfer

Former 4-Star Prospect and current Ohio State Buckeyes' quarterback Joe Burrow is transferring from Ohio State "in the coming weeks".

According to NCAA graduate transfer rules, Burrow will be eligible to play n 2018. NU coaches did not rule out the possibility of exploring the graduate transfer market and they reportedly had at least some contact with Arizona graduate transfer Brandon Dawkins before he signed with IN early IN the spring, but it remains to be seen if Frost and company will make a strong push for any transfer. Now that Burrow has made a decision to transfer, he gave Meyer no choice but to anoint a guy early, which, in turn, saves Ohio State from going down a similar rabbit hole. "My teammates and coaches all know the love I feel for them". He said he would decide on a new school in the coming weeks.

Warriors, Rockets on course for West Finals
The Golden State Warriors cruised to a 3-1 lead in their second-round series with the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday afternoon. If Kerr sticks with this talented lineup to start, expect the Warriors to try and put New Orleans away early in Game 5.

An Ohio State spokesman said coach Urban Meyer had no immediate comment. Burrow broke his throwing hand late in camp, and Haskins became the de facto No. 2, holding that job for the remainder of the season even after Burrow got healthy enough to play. There were corners of the OSU universe which were calling for Haskins to start over J.T. Barrett during the 2017 season, though that did not ultimately come to pass. Meyer reiterated that thought to ESPN following Ohio State's spring game on April 14. "I think everybody's happy", Orgeron said at a speaking engagement in Houston.

Burrow took to his Twitter account to make the announcement. His father, Jimmy, is the longtime defensive coordinator at Ohio. Haskins nearly certainly will be No. 1, possibly with some packages to feature the fleet and slippery Martell. Burrow tweeted that he would leave the Buckeyes to "explore other options".
